Returning to the Theatre Royal stage, the multi-award-winning company Carlton Operatic Society are proud to present Kinky Boots. With a joyous Tony- and Grammy-award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper and an uplifting book by Tony-winner Harvey Fierstein, Kinky Boots is a heartwarming and fun-filled musical based on true events and the 2005 film starring Joel Edgerton and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Join Charlie Price as he takes over the family business, a struggling shoe factory on the brink of bankruptcy. As he attempts to keep the workers happy and follow in his late father's footsteps, Charlie makes an unlikely friend in Lola, a drag queen on the hunt for some sturdy stiletto boots. As they work to keep the factory afloat, this unlikely pair find inspiration in each other and prove that you can change the world when you change your mind.
